Day 11:
Favorite Quote(s):
"Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and NOT be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation."
- Isaiah 12:2

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

spiritualinspiration:

Sad? “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” (John 14 1-4)
Don’t feel loved? For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
Does God feel far from you? You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down;you are familiar with all my ways. (Psalm 139:1-3)
Your faith needs encouragement? Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. (Hebrews 11:1-2)
Worried? Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34)
Hurt? And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. (Colossians 3:14-15)
Seeking Peace? Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)
Losing hope? May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. ( 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)
Don’t understand? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I. (Isaiah 58:8-9)
Scared? Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)

Day 9: Pet Peeves
1. When parents suck at parenting (and even cuss around and at their children
2. Being cut off by slow drivers
3. Driving in L.A.
4. When people talk loud in the libraries on campus (which is quite frequent).
5. When fools don’t know proper manners or don’t know how to be considerate of others.
6. When people don’t pay me back.
7. When people promise to pay me back and don’t until I continuously remind them.
8. When men talk about how “hot” other women are in front of me.
9. When skinny girls or girls who are CLEARLY thinner than me say stupid stuff like “OMG I’M SO FAT”.
10. When people in the church claim to be righteous Christians but are hypocrites behind closed doors. Oh, wait. We’re all hypocrites.
11. When people don’t flush or wash their hands in the bathroom.

Day 8:
To Leilani: Thank you for being a good friend. i’m sorry I couldn’t be as awesome of a friend to you as you were to everyone around you. I can’t wait to see you in heaven one day and give you those 72 hugs I promised you.
To Jessica: I’m sorry we couldn’t spend more time with each other. I love you. Thank you for showing me how to love God and people, compassion, beauty, and an unmatched kindness for others. Please give Lei my regards for being an awesome half-Asian.
To Daddy: I love you and even though you weren’t always the best father in the world when I was younger, I love you more than I ever have and I’m proud to be your daughter.

There’s nothing quite like being a Bruin and watching a football game that makes you want to scream, cry, and jump for joy at the same time.

Not only did the Bruins win 20-17 in a nail biting victory, but our substitute quarterback Jerry Neuheisel did amazing despite the pressure and nerves he must have been feeling. I have never been more excited and proud to be a Bruin and I’ve been in the marching band and at UCLA going on 3 years. To top that off, USC lost to Boston College. It was a good day. Thank you God.
